Joel Benjamin Predd Ph.D: Electrical Engineering, 2006 Thesis: Topics in Distributed Inference Advisor: Sanjeev Kulkarni, Vincent Poor Biography Joel B. Predd is an Associate Engineer with the RAND Corporation. Joel received a Ph.D. from the Information Sciences and Systems group at Princeton University, and a BS in electrical engineering from Purdue University in 2001. He visited National ICT Australia in Canberra during the summer of 2004; in the summer of 2005, he was a RAND Summer Associate, working with the Arroyo Center. Joel's current research interests vary broadly and include issues and trends in information technology, terrorism, and human judgment and decision-making. He has special interest in methodologies for combining and eliciting expert opinion, and in machine learning. |
