Sinan Gezici Ph.D: Electrical Engineering, 2006 Thesis: Design and Analysis of Impulse Radio Ultra Wideband Receivers for Communications and Geolocation Advisor: Hisashi Kobayashi, Vincent Poor Biography Sinan Gezici received the B.S. degree from Bilkent University, Turkey in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University in 2006. From April 2006 to Janunary 2007, he worked as a Visiting Member of Technical Staff at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, Cambridge, MA. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Bilkent University. His main research interests are in the fields of signal detection, estimation and optimization theory, and their applications to wireless communication systems. Currently, he has a particular interest in timing estimation, performance analysis and receiver design for ultra-wideband systems. |
