Biography
Erhan Bayraktar is currently a tenure track Assistant Professor in the
Department of Mathematics at the University of Michigan. His primary research interests
are in mathematical finance, applied probability, and stochastic control. He has
published articles in several top notch journals, including Annals of Applied Probability, Mathematics of Operations Research,
Stochastic Processes and Their Applications, SIAM Journal on Control and
Optimization, Finance and Stochastics. Dr. Bayraktar earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2004. After he graduated from
Princeton, he joined the department of Mathematics at the University of Michigan as an T.H. Hildebrandt Assistant Professor and was hired as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in September 2006.
He graduated from Middle East Technical
University in Ankara, Turkey in 2000 with two B.S. degrees: one in Electrical Engineering and the other in Mathematics.
