Biography

Dr. Fishler holds a B.Sc. in mathematics Magna Cum Laude, M.Sc. Magna Cum Laude and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering, in 1993, 1997, 2001, respectively, all from Tel Aviv University, Israel. During the years 2002 and 2003 he was a research fellow at Princeton University where he conducted research on various problems in statistical signal processing and communication theory. During 2003 and parts of 2004, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the New Jersey Institute of technology where he worked on MIMO radars. In addition, Dr. Fishler holds an MBA (with distinction) from the Stern School of Business, New York University where he specialized in Financial Theory. During 1996-2000 he was employed at Tadiran Electronic Systems where he developed various detection, classification, and parameter estimation algorithms for systems ranging from spectrum monitoring systems to direction finding systems. He later consulted Infineon Technologies and was part of the team that designed the signal processing algorithms for their 802.15.3a UWB modem. Currently, Dr. Fishler is working for Hite Capital Management where he conducts research on factor models, covariance estimation, and other problems in parameter estimation. Dr. Fishler's main research interests are in statistical and array processing, and communication theory. Dr. Fishler is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
