Adding entries to the Vacation Calendar

You can view the vacation calendar without logging in.
To add (or change or delete) an entry, you must first log in:

  • Scroll down to the bottom of the calendar and click Login.
  • On the login screen, enter your netid and your LDAP password.
  • If you can't login, you probably haven't been authorized for the calendar. Send a note to eenet@princeton.edu.

When you are logged in, you can change or delete an entry and add new entries. To change or delete an entry, click that entry, then click the Edit or Delete button in the new window that pops up.

To add a new entry, click the Month view tab. You should see [+] at the upper-right corner of each day:

Click the + and enter the details for your entry:

Title: Enter the text that should appear on the calendar.

Categories: Check the appropriate category for this entry.

Date: This will already be filled in with the date whose "+" you clicked. You can change it here.

Time: Select all day or click the second radio button and enter a start time and duration if your entry involves only part of the day.

Name and E-mail: (Optional) Enter your name and your email address. These will be displayed in a pop-up window when somebody clicks this entry in the calendar.

URL: (Optional) You can enter a URL that will display as a clickable link in the window that pops up when somebody clicks this entry in the calendar.

Notes: (Optional) Anything you enter here will "pop up" in the calendar window when somebody points their mouse at this entry in the calendar. It will also be displayed in the new window that pops up when somebody clicks the entry.

Repeating Events:
(Optional) You can click the Repeating tab and enter repetition details for an entry that should be repeated. This is the simplest way to enter, for example, a five day vacation (instead of making 5 separate new entries).

  • Be sure the click the Save button when you are finished entering your details.
