PRINCETON UNIVERSITY The Graduate School Clio Hall

In order for financial support to be available throughout the entire academic year (September-May), the Graduate School Office divides the Fund into roughly three equal parts, one-third being available for support of invited graduate student papers from September 1 to November 30, a second third from December 1 to February 28, and a final third from March 1 to May 31.

Deadlines for requests for support:

September 15 (for travel during Sept. through Nov.)

December 12 (for travel during Dec. through Feb.)

March 12 (for travel during March through May)

PLEASE NOTE: Funds in an amount roughly equal to those available during any one trimester of the academic year are available over the summer (roughly June, July and August) through the continued support of the Association of Princeton Graduate Alumni/ae (APGA). Students invited to present papers during the period June 1 to August 31 should apply for the APGA Summer Travel Grants. However, students who are invited to present at conferences whose dates overlap the end of the summer and the first trimester of the academic year (e.g., August 28 - September 2) should apply for the Dean's Fund for Scholarly Travel for the first period of consideration.

Requests are reviewed, in part, on a first-come, first-served basis, and not every worthy request in every funding period can be granted. In short, we can still run out of money in any one, or all, of the three funding periods. According to the above schedule, the Graduate School Office will hold all requests received up to each deadline, review them, and make its decisions. If after that funds remain, then requests received after the deadline will be considered.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
