EENet Registration Forms

Note: these forms are normally submitted by EE staff, faculty or students. Access to the forms requires entering your Princeton netid and password to verify the identity of the person submitting the form.

Connecting a computer or other device to the network:
All devices connected to the ethernet network at Princeton must be registered before connecting.
For devices connected to the network in the EE department:

Submit the EENet Host Registration Form

  • Each registered device must have a "hostname" which you select and which is unique at Princeton. The device's fully-qualified name will be "name.ee.princeton.edu".
  • You can check whether a hostname is already in use by clicking here.
  • This form may also be used for deleting or changing the details of an existing registration.
For devices connected to the network at other campus locations:

Check with the department manager or network administrator at that location. Each department has its own registration procedures.
If you relocate a computer or other connected device:

Your registration must be updated to reflect its current location
Moving a device to a new location within the EE department:

Use the EENet Host Registration Form to report the new location
Moving a device from EE to another department, or vice versa:
